Mops, Mangles & Feather Dusters Tea

1:00 PM - Crocker House Museum

Come to the Crocker House Museum for a full afternoon tea with Dee Birch, co-founder of the Society for the Preservation of Victorian Tradition.  Dee will inspire you to get in the mood for spring cleaning, Victorian style.  Learn what techniques our domestic ancestors used to rid soot, dust and grime accumulated over the long winter while enjoying a full afternoon tea.  Tea will include Three Wives Tea, scones with mock Devonshire cream with jam, a variety of tea-sandwiches,
and desserts.

Tickets are limited, non-refundable, and cost $30 for members of the Macomb County Historical Society and $35 for non-members.  The Crocker House Museum is located at 15 Union Street in Downtown Mount Clemens.

Yvonne Leslie Pottery Luncheon

12:00 PM - Zuccaro's Banquet & Catering

The ever popular Yvonne Leslie Pottery Luncheon is sponsored each year by the Mah-Nah-Bee-Zee Questers.  This event helps with the restoration projects at the Crocker House Museum.  This year's luncheon theme is "Musical Memories."  Come and view tables showcasing collectible glassware, fine and casual china that reflect a musical theme.

The luncheon is held at Zuccaro's Banquet Hall on Gratiot just north of 21 Mile Road.  Doors open at 12:00 PM for table viewing with lunch served at approximately 1:00 PM.  "2 Weeks Notice," will provide entertainment with "songs you know by people you should".  Two Weeks Notice is a contemporary acapella group based in Metro Detroit offering a high-energy performance of
popular music using only the human voice. 

Luncheon includes entree, pasta, salad, dessert and beverage.  Cash bar, door prizes and raffles available.  Tickets are $35 ($15 is tax deductible) per person and are limited, non-refundable and must be purchased in advance.  Proceeds benefit the Crocker House Museum restoration and acquisitions.  Tickets go fast, so be sure to make your reservations early.

Anton Art Center's Free Family Fun Sunday

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Anton Art Center 

Come and get your creative juices flowing at Target Free Family Fun Sundays at the Anton Art Center.  Drop in anytime between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM and join in the fun.  The March 14 project is bookmark making in honor of Dr. Suess' birthday.  Sponsored by the Target Corporation, Target Free Family Fun Sundays will run monthly at the Anton Art Center in Downtown Mount Clemens through September 2010.  Families and kids of all ages are welcome to drop in.

One Sunday each month, a professional artist will lead participants in making a themed project.  This program gives children and families a fantastic opportunity to work side-by-side with a fine artists from the metro Detroit community.  No reservations are required, and activities are suitable for ages three and older.  Come for fifteen minutes or for an hour, and try your hand at something new.  All activities are free, but donations will be accepted to support the Anton Art Center's programming.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Today through April 3, 2010 - The Box Theatre, Downtown Mount Clemens

The Box Theatre presents the The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  This hilarious tale of overachievers angst chronicles the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.  The show's Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes:  a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee runs March 18-21, March 25-28, and April 1-3 at The Box Theatre located at 70 Macomb Place in Downtown Mount Clemens.  All Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows are at 8:00 PM, Sunday matinee shows start at 2:00 PM.  Special discounted dinner packages are available at participating Downtown Mount Clemens restaurants, call the box office for more details.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for Seniors and Students.

MCREST Pancake Breakfast Benefit

8:30 AM - 1:00 PM - Trinity Lutheran Church

Support a great cause at the Mount Clemens Kiwanis annual Pancake Breakfast.  This events supports MCREST.  The Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST), provides emergency shelter for our homeless community.  Over 1000 people attend the Pancake Breakfast, held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton Township each year on Palm Sunday.  This year's 16th Annual Pancake Breakfast is scheduled for 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 38900 Harper in Clinton Township.  Tickets are $5 per adult, $3 per child in advance.  Tickets at the door will cost $1 more.  To be notified as soon as tickets are available, visit:  www.mountclemenskiwanis.com and sign up to receive their email newsletter.

Easter Bunny Skate

2:00 PM - Mount Clemens Ice Arena

Come to the Mount Clemens Ice Arena and skate with the Easter Bunny!  Attendees will receive an Easter egg filled with prizes and goodies including:  candy, free admission, free skate rental, and even free skating classes!  The Easter Bunny Skate runs from 2:00 PM until  3:50 PM.  Admission is $5 and skate rental is $3.
