Girls Night Out - Downtown

Sun Messengers

7:30 PM - Mount Clemens Riverfront
The Sun Messengers are an eight-piece, horn-driven R&B show-band based in Detroit. This top-notch band plays everything from Motown classics and old school Funk to Big-Band, Classic Rock and Jazz standards. The Sun Messengers have been one of the most popular groups in the Detroit area since forming in 1980. In addition to performing as a headliner, the band has backed up such artists as The Drifters, Johnny Adams, Earl King, Martha Reeves, Sir Mack Rice, Leon Thomas and The Falcons. Since 1996 the Sun Messengers have been the house band for the Detroit Pistons, performing during Piston's home games.
The concert is at 7:30 PM on the Riverfront and is FREE to all. After the concert, countless dining, outdoor patio and entertainment options are just a short walk away in the downtown shopping and entertainment district.

Bud Light Classic Car Cruise & Street Dance

The Bud Light Car Cruise & Street Dance is Rockin' and Rollin' in Downtown Mount Clemens. Drive down Main Street in your classic ride, or just enjoy the view as the hot rods cruise on by. VIP parking available, cruise or park all day, parts displays, food vendors and much more.
The Car Cruise starts at 3:00 PM and runs until 10:00 PM on Main Street. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes for "Dancin' in the Street," a Street Dance featuring tunes by DJ Eric. The Street Dance is from 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM and will feature limbo and hula hoop contests, best 50's/60's costume contest, and lots of prizes and FREE fun.

Bizarre Bazaar
Every Saturday through October 2 - Downtown Mount Clemens, Roskopp Parking Lot
The Mount Clemens Bizarre Bazaar Flea Market is held every Saturday from 8AM until 2PM in the North Roskopp Parking Lot, located along Southbound Gratiot adjacent to the Anton Art Center. The market runs every weekend until October 2, except for Stars & Stripes Weekend on July 3. Bizarre Bazaar sales spaces are $15 for the first space, and $10 for each additional space. Pay for three weeks and get the fourth week free. Event is free to attendees. Nunsense A-Men!

Today through August 21, 2010 - The Box Theatre, Downtown Mount Clemens
The boys are back! What's That Smell Productions presents the return of Nunsense A-Men! Nunsense A-Men is basically the original “Nunsense” show with all of the characters being portrayed by male musical comedy performers. Think of it as “Mrs. Doubtfire enters the Convent.” Done totally seriously, this show is, to quote a critic, “no drag.” First performed in Brazil as “Novicas Rebeldes,” this version of “Nunsense” premiered in New York in 1998 receiving rave reviews and standing ovations.
Nunsense A-Men runs August 13-15, and August 20-21 at The Box Theatre located at 70 Macomb Place in Downtown Mount Clemens. All Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows are at 8:00 PM, Sunday matinee shows start at 2:00 PM. Special discounted dinner packages are available at participating Downtown Mount Clemens restaurants, call the box office for more details. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for Seniors and Students.

9th Annual Bath City Run / Walk
8:00 AM - Starting Line at The Rec Bowl
Come out and get active for two great causes at the 9th Annual Bath City Run/Walk. All proceeds from the race benefit Turning Point and The Mount Clemens Foundation. The event features a competitive 4-mile run with chip timing, a non-competitive 2-mile walk, and a 75-yard tot-trot started by Rosco the Clown. This is a great warm-up race for runners participating in The Crim.
All Bath City Run/Walk events start at 8:00 AM with the starting line at The Rec Bowl located at 40 Crocker Boulevard, across from the Mount Clemens City Hall. The first 200 entries will receive a FREE race t-shirt. Entry fees are $20 if postmarked by August 1, $25 from August 2 up until race time, $15 for ages 11-15, and FREE tot-trot for ages 10 and under.
